Hire Terms and Conditions
The Bicycle hired, including all accessories & attachments supplied remains the property of
Torrington Cycle Hire. The Renter may not sell, sublease, lend or otherwise part with possession
of the hired equipment.
The Renter acknowledges and agrees that the Bicycle and all accessories and attachments are in good condition and undertakes not to misuse it. In the event of breakdown other than those of a type which the Renter can reasonably repair with supplied equipment, and other than as a result of the Renter's misuse, Torrington Cycle Hire will endeavour to repair or provide a replacement bicycle for the remainder of the hire. The Renter shall be solely responsible for damage to any bicycle, accessories or equipment (other than fair wear and tear) and the Owner reserves the right to call upon the Renter to indemnify the Owner for the repair or replacement of any damaged item.
The Renter will ensure that the Bicycle is adequately secured to an immovable object when not in use and will notify the Owner immediately in the event of any loss or breakdown of the bicycle. In the event of the Bicycle being lost or stolen the Owner reserves the right to call upon the Renter to indemnify the Owner the replacement value of the Bicycle. However, should the Bicycle subsequently be recovered in a useable condition, the Owner undertakes to refund the Renter's Indemnity in full within fourteen days.
The Renter shall indemnify the Owner in respect of all costs, claims, expenses, and demands which it may suffer or incur and which arise directly or indirectly out of the use of the Bicycle during the period of hire.
The Renter shall be solely responsible for any fines, impositions or other penalties occasioned by the use of the Bicycle during the period of hire. The Renter also agrees not to use the bicycle whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The Renter is responsible for ensuring that any hires are returned by the agreed times. The Owner reserves the right to charge for any late returns.
